Gram Rea is an award-winning professional utility musician, singer, songwriter, and music educator originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a multi-instrumentalist known for blending genres like classical violin with Southern soul.

Gram Rae is no stranger to the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival. He’s appeared on numerous occasions, sometimes teaming up with other artists. Having this local boy perform once again is a true treat!

Early Life and Education

  • Violin Scholarship: His formal musical journey began at age 11 with classical violin. This eventually led him to attend Southeastern Louisiana University on a violin scholarship.
  • Self-Taught Skills: Before college, Rea expanded his repertoire by teaching himself to play various other instruments by ear.
