Once again, Charlie and Trina Dawson are opening up their home for a House Party and Concert featuring Ricky Lamb. Don’t miss it on Sunday, May 17, 2026 beginning at 4 pm.

The Dawson’s home is located at 213 East Third Street in Long Beach. Please bring an artist donation of $20.00 for Ricky per person. Phun starts at 4:00 pm

Ricky Lamb is an American Tropical Rock (Trop Rock) singer-songwriter, solo recording artist, and frontman based out of Springfield, Missouri. Known for his beach-vibe music heavily inspired by Jimmy Buffett, Lamb regularly performs around 150 shows across the country every year.

Early Life and Military Service

  • Roots: Grew up in Missouri and graduated from Willard High School in 1977.
  • Navy Veteran: Enlisted in the U.S. Navy immediately after high school, spending 10 years aboard the ammunition ship USS Butte (AE-27). His international travels and “tales of the sea” from his time in the Navy heavily influence his songwriting.
  • Pre-Music Career: After his service, he studied at Missouri State University and worked for City Utilities of Springfield at the James River Power Station from 1987 until retiring in 2014 to focus on music full-time. [1, 2]

Musical Projects & Bands

Lamb performs as a solo acoustic artist and has fronted several prominent Trop Rock and tribute bands over the last two decades:

  • The No Bad Days Band: His primary active backing outfit, performing upbeat, danceable island rock.
  • The Phin Addicts: A premier Jimmy Buffett tribute and Tropical Rock band that he led for 14 years.
  • Prior Groups: He previously fronted the Cruize Control Band (2006–2014) and the Nixa City Limits Band (2003–2006).

Discography and Achievements

Lamb owns his own production label, Red Sky At Night Productions, and has released three primary records:

  • Red Sky At Night (2009): Debut album recorded with the Cruize Control Band.
  • All Hands On Deck (2014): Released alongside Ricky Lamb and the Phin Addicts.
  • Pretty Good and You (2021): His first official solo studio album, featuring signature island tracks like “Changed Man Reggae,” “Back on the Coast,” and “Road Song”.
  • Awards: In 2021, he earned four Trop Rock Music Award nominations, including Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year. His track “Changed Man Reggae” was also voted Song of the Year on Radio Trop Rock.

Kitty Steadman

Once again, Kitty Steadman of “Drop Dead Dangerous” will be performing at a House Concert in the area for the local Parrot Heads and PHriends.

Tonight, Friday, May 15th, 2026, Kitty will be at Darrell Herron’s home located at 6700 Tunica Road in Biloxi, Mississippi, starting at 7:00 pm. Bring a chair and BYOB. Suggested $20 donation to the artist per person.

If you’re not familiar with Kitty Steadman, then this is the perfect time to get to know her before the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival 2026! Kitty Steadman is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and musician recognized for her powerhouse vocals and storytelling within the Americana and Southern rock genres. Often described as an “independent artist,” she has built a dedicated national following, particularly through her work with the band Drop Dead Dangerous and her evolving solo career.

Musical Career

  • Drop Dead Dangerous: Steadman is the co-founder and lead singer of this high-energy Southern rock and roots outfit. With the band, she released albums such as Roadside Attraction (2018) and Saguaro (2022), the latter of which was recorded at the historic FAME Studios  in Muscle Shoals.
  • Solo Work: She began her recording career with the EP Free To Roam in 2015. Her solo projects, including the full-length album Truck Driver’s Daughter and her forthcoming project The Orchid, showcase a more personal and honest side of her songwriting.
  • Performances: A seasoned professional, she tours extensively across the United States, performing at venues ranging from Nashville songwriter rounds to Key West stages. Her fans are affectionately known as “Steadheads”.

Personal Life and Projects

  • Background: Steadman began playing guitar at age 14. She recently celebrated her 30th birthday in August 2024, noting her marriage and family life  as major personal milestones.
  • Coffee With Kitty: She hosts a weekly livestream series called Coffee With Kitty  every Tuesday on YouTube, where she shares original songs and tour updates with her community.
  • Community Engagement: She maintains an active presence on social media platforms like Instagram  and Facebook , frequently sharing tour dates and personal reflections.

As this website finishes up it’s first year online serving the Towns Around Biloxi Parrot Head Club, we’d like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU, the readers, the followers, the Pirates, Poets, and Parrot Heads, for a very successful year!

In ONE YEAR, this new website has attracted OVER 2,700 Views, with over 1,700 Visitors!!! 909 people logged on to see the latest posts. 554 people have visited the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival page, 158 people viewed the lineup for Biloxi Box Set 2026, 135 people logged on to see when Box Set Registration opened up! Every page visited. With most views coming directly from Facebook cross postings. But 377 people found us on a Search Engine such as Google, Safari, etc. Some of you SUBSCRIBED to the website and 20 people logged onto the site from their email accounts. 9 people found us from the old tabphc.com website. While some of the public outreach from advertisers contributed to a handful of site visitors.

To the 16 Subscribers who have entrusted us not to inundate your email with junk, THANK YOU! We hope more people Subscribe to the site so they can get the latest news from the Towns Around Biloxi Parrot Head Club directly in their email as well.

In an effort to help you stay informed with upcoming events, we’ve revamped the Events Calendar Page to include an interactive Google Calendar! Events added to the TABPHC Google Calendar will be in RED. Pick and choose events, find out when and where the next membership meeting is. Events will be added frequently, so this is a good resource to plan our Parrot Head PHun!

Gram Rea & Friends Return to the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival on Saturday, September 12th

Gram Rea is an award-winning professional utility musician, singer, songwriter, and music educator originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a multi-instrumentalist known for blending genres like classical violin with Southern soul.

Gram Rae is no stranger to the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival. He’s appeared on numerous occasions, sometimes teaming up with other artists. Having this local boy perform once again is a true treat!

Early Life and Education

  • Violin Scholarship: His formal musical journey began at age 11 with classical violin. This eventually led him to attend Southeastern Louisiana University on a violin scholarship.
  • Self-Taught Skills: Before college, Rea expanded his repertoire by teaching himself to play various other instruments by ear.

  • Utility Musician: Rea is described as a “utility musician,” meaning he is proficient in multiple instruments for live performances and studio sessions.

Danny Spiro is a Nashville-based country music artist originally from Mobile, Alabama, known for a style that blends “blue-collar grit,” ’90s twang, and rock-driven energy. Often described as an “outlaw country maverick,” his music is characterized by raw authenticity and a rebellious spirit. 

Musical Background and Career

  • Early Inspiration: Growing up in Mobile, a pivotal moment for Spiro was seeing the band 3 Doors Down perform live at age 14. The crowd’s energy inspired his desire to pursue music professionally.
  • Move to Nashville: He moved to Nashville to pursue his goal of performing at the Grand Ole Opry.

Kirstie Kraus is a Nashville-based independent country music artist, songwriter, and television host originally from Wisconsin. Known for her high-energy performances and a sound that blends modern country with rock, blues, and funk, she was recently honored as the 2024 Country Female Artist of the Year at the Josie Music Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry. 

Early Life and Education

  • Hometown: She spent her first 14 years in Janesville, Wisconsin, before moving to De Pere, where she graduated high school in 2008.
  • Early Start: Kraus began performing at age two and started community theater, dance, and piano lessons by age six. She wrote her first full song at 12 and released her first record, Sweet Music, that same year.
  • Education: She attended Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, graduating in 2012 with a degree in business marketing and sales—skills she credits as vital to her career as an independent musician.

“Fruitcakes For Families” at the 8th Annual Biloxi Box Set Music Festival

Since the 8th Annual Biloxi Box Set Music Festival will be honoring the men & women in uniform and the first responders on the 25th Anniversary of 9-11, the Towns Around Biloxi Parrot Head Club have added a new “layer” to the philanthropic nature of the event. At this event, the club will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the “Toys for Tots” program. And we’re filling up a classic car, a 1973 Volkswagen Type 181 “Thing”!

Just like Jimmy Buffett drove in his official “Fruitcakes” video, a VW Thing will be available under the South Beach Hotel Pavilion to collect all those toys for those families in need. Event participants, musicians, and visitors are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to fill her up!

Meet, “Ariel”, a 1973 VW “Thing”. She will be collecting donations at the 8th Annual Biloxi Box Set Music Festival as the “Fruitcakes for Families” Collection Car.

Registration for the 8th Annual Biloxi Box Set Music Festival (September 10–12, 2026) is currently OPEN.
