Once again, Charlie and Trina Dawson are opening up their home for a House Party and Concert featuring Ricky Lamb. Don’t miss it on Sunday, May 17, 2026 beginning at 4 pm.

The Dawson’s home is located at 213 East Third Street in Long Beach. Please bring an artist donation of $20.00 for Ricky per person. Phun starts at 4:00 pm

Ricky Lamb is an American Tropical Rock (Trop Rock) singer-songwriter, solo recording artist, and frontman based out of Springfield, Missouri. Known for his beach-vibe music heavily inspired by Jimmy Buffett, Lamb regularly performs around 150 shows across the country every year.

Early Life and Military Service

Roots: Grew up in Missouri and graduated from Willard High School in 1977.
Navy Veteran: Enlisted in the U.S. Navy immediately after high school, spending 10 years aboard the ammunition ship USS Butte (AE-27). His international travels and “tales of the sea” from his time in the Navy heavily influence his songwriting.
Pre-Music Career: After his service, he studied at Missouri State University and worked for City Utilities of Springfield at the James River Power Station from 1987 until retiring in 2014 to focus on music full-time. [1, 2]

Musical Projects & Bands

Lamb performs as a solo acoustic artist and has fronted several prominent Trop Rock and tribute bands over the last two decades:

The No Bad Days Band: His primary active backing outfit, performing upbeat, danceable island rock.
The Phin Addicts: A premier Jimmy Buffett tribute and Tropical Rock band that he led for 14 years.
Prior Groups: He previously fronted the Cruize Control Band (2006–2014) and the Nixa City Limits Band (2003–2006).

Discography and Achievements

Lamb owns his own production label, Red Sky At Night Productions, and has released three primary records:

Red Sky At Night (2009): Debut album recorded with the Cruize Control Band.
All Hands On Deck (2014): Released alongside Ricky Lamb and the Phin Addicts.
Pretty Good and You (2021): His first official solo studio album, featuring signature island tracks like “Changed Man Reggae,” “Back on the Coast,” and “Road Song”.
Awards: In 2021, he earned four Trop Rock Music Award nominations, including Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year. His track “Changed Man Reggae” was also voted Song of the Year on Radio Trop Rock.

Once again, Kitty Steadman of “Drop Dead Dangerous” will be performing at a House Concert in the area for the local Parrot Heads and PHriends.

Tonight, Friday, May 15th, 2026, Kitty will be at Darrell Herron’s home located at 6700 Tunica Road in Biloxi, Mississippi, starting at 7:00 pm. Bring a chair and BYOB. Suggested $20 donation to the artist per person.

If you’re not familiar with Kitty Steadman, then this is the perfect time to get to know her before the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival 2026! Kitty Steadman is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and musician recognized for her powerhouse vocals and storytelling within the Americana and Southern rock genres. Often described as an “independent artist,” she has built a dedicated national following, particularly through her work with the band Drop Dead Dangerous and her evolving solo career.

Musical Career

Drop Dead Dangerous: Steadman is the co-founder and lead singer of this high-energy Southern rock and roots outfit. With the band, she released albums such as Roadside Attraction (2018) and Saguaro (2022), the latter of which was recorded at the historic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals.
Solo Work: She began her recording career with the EP Free To Roam in 2015. Her solo projects, including the full-length album Truck Driver’s Daughter and her forthcoming project The Orchid, showcase a more personal and honest side of her songwriting.
Performances: A seasoned professional, she tours extensively across the United States, performing at venues ranging from Nashville songwriter rounds to Key West stages. Her fans are affectionately known as “Steadheads”.

Personal Life and Projects

Background: Steadman began playing guitar at age 14. She recently celebrated her 30th birthday in August 2024, noting her marriage and family life as major personal milestones.
Coffee With Kitty: She hosts a weekly livestream series called Coffee With Kitty every Tuesday on YouTube, where she shares original songs and tour updates with her community.

Wouldn’t you like to live some of the lyrics of some of Jimmy’s songs? Well, here’s your chance. Join us for Towns Around Biloxi PHC’s 26th Annual “Pascagoula Poker Run” and Club Birthday Party April 18, 2026. The “Run” is made with “ragtops”, regular cars, and even some motorcycles.

We start at 11:00 a.m. at the The Dock Bar & Grill located at 6036 Rock Point Road, Mobile AL.

For $10 a hand you can register at the starting point and start to collect your cards.

We travel west on old Hwy 90 just as he did in the song with his black sheep uncle stopping at some very colorful establishments along the way. Cards are gathered as we go.

Our 2nd stop will be at The Old Mill located at 6391 Hwy 90 Theodore AL. We’ll be there from1:30 – 2:30. ***Note: This stop is a CASH BAR ONLY! *** The Old Mill has been on every TABPHC Annual Poker Run and looks forward to us stopping by.

We used to stop at the “State Line Bar” (not the real name) on the line between MS and AL, but there was a fire that closed this place down. There’s not much left at that site anymore.

Over the river we go into Pascagoula to the River Road Boat Club located at 4755 River Road, Pascagoula, MS. We’ll be there from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Have your bug spray handy for this stop.

After grabbing a quick bite to eat, we’re headed over to the Singing River Yacht Club, located at 3900 Beach Blvd., Pascagoula, MS. The perfect location for Parrot Heads to grab a tropical beverage from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

Racing to the end to collect your last card is Bozo’s 2.5, located at 2012 Ingalls Ave., in Pascagoula, MS. We’ll be there from 6:00 – 9:00. We also finish our poker hands and prepare to celebrate our club birthday with good food and great people.

The registration pot is split so that the best hand wins 40%, the worst hand wins 10%, and the remaining 50% donated to the Make-A-Wish Mississippi.

50-50 Raffle will also be available

All told, these events always produce elated participants. Designated drivers and car pooling is encouraged. Come join us. Bring friends. It’s a great time. If you can only make the party at the end, come join us! Get someone to register you and play a hand or two for you. Winning money can only top off a great time.
